Hello Parents,

We are John and Val Maurer and we are excited to be the basketball coaches this season. We have a great group of kids and we look forward to watching them grow and develop as basketball players and individuals.

Our practice schedule over Christmas break will be –
December 18th & 19th in Dyer
December 20th & 21st in Goldfield
January 2nd & 3rd in Dyer
January 4th & 5th in Goldfield
These practices will begin at 1:00 pm and end at 3:00 pm.

On days we practice in Dyer, Goldfield students will need to meet at the Gym at 11:00 to be picked up and will be delivered back to their homes after practice. Silver Peak students will need to meet at the school at 11:40 to be picked up and will be delivered back to their homes after practice. Dyer students will need to provide their own transportation to and from practice.

On days we practice in Goldfield, Dyer students will need to meet at the Esmeralda Market at 11:40 to be picked up and will be delivered back to their homes after practice. Silver Peak students will need to be at the school at 12:20 to be picked up and will be delivered back to their homes after practice. Goldfield students will need to provide their own transportation to and from practice.

Our first game will be on January 6th in Amargosa. We will send out the game schedule when we get it. We would like students to attend all practices, if possible. Street shoes are not allowed on some gym floors, so each player will need basketball shoes.

If you have any questions or if your student will not be able to attend a practice, please call or text John at (775) 560-0401 or Val at (775) 560-4130.
